YOUTH IN LANDSCAPES

The Youth in Landscapes (YIL) Initiative is a global movement of young people who have committed to living and breathing the landscapes philosophy – collaboration, diversity, and collective action. We welcome everyone aged 18-35 years to join us. Whether you are a student or young professional, whether you work in agriculture, business, or geography – this community needs you. The Initiative is a partnership between the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA), Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and the Global Agroecology Alliance (GAEA). Together these organizations represent over 20,000 young people working and studying in agriculture, forestry and agroecology.

There are a number of ways you can be an active player at GLF Bonn. Converse with leaders and register for our Digital Summit held Dec 12th at 1 PM CET. Get to know fellow change-makers over food and drink at our exclusive Youth Evening on Dec 19th. Engage in focused discussion on integrating youth into key local and regional initiatives by attending the Discussion Forum – ‘Drawing Landscapes - Youth integration from vision to action’ on Dec 20th. Welcome to YIL.

Applications to our youth social media outreach mentoring and internship project, starting at the 8th edition of the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany, from December 19-20, 2017. Public voting is now closed.

These young individuals will be at GLF Bonn asking the hard questions, bringing in new philosophies, and accelerating change by keeping an eye on local realities. They come from across the globe and will be facilitating sessions, developing Pavilion agendas, and at the frontline of enhancing the GLF experience.
