Administrative Assistant

CIFOR-ICRAF

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks to support office operations and providing reliable and secure driving services, also maintaining vehicle conditions. This role requires a high level of integrity, understanding of administrative processes, and driving skills.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist
    the Finance and Administrative Officer and other staff with general office
    duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, maintaining office supplies,
    support organizing workshops, deliveries, running errands, etc.

  • The
    staff may also be expected to
    make
    frequent local travel, and occasional long-distance trips may be required.
    Driving
    an office vehicle as and when required in abiding by traffic laws and ensuring
    the safety of the passengers and the vehicle.

  • On some occasions, the staff may also
    need to lift light packages and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Education, knowledge and experience

• Minimum General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level or equivalent.
• Experience in office administration support tasks
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of local driving routes and traffic regulations.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Proven experience as a driver with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Prior administrative or office support experience is a plus.

Terms and conditions

• This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency, commensurate with skills and experience.
• The appointment will be for 1 (one) year with the possibility of extension contingent upon performance, continued relevance of the position and available resources.
• The duty station will be in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
